We are seeking aCommunication Center Representativeto:
Support paging, messaging, scheduling, information, and appointment services
Offer departmental support
Execute emergency plans By using:
High-quality personal computer workstations
State of the art telephone technology
Proprietary software programs specifically designed for call handling, message taking, appointment scheduling, and radio paging services Education:
Minimum – High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred – Associates or Bachelors degree
Work Experience:
Minimum – One year of experience in a medical, call center, or customer service environment
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Strong customer service and telephone answering skills.
Knowledge of and ability to use computers including various software programs such as word processing, database management, and spreadsheets.
Effective written and oral communication.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Effective interpersonal communication and team skills in a complex organizational setting.
Knowledge of and experience with conflict resolution techniques and problem analysis/resolution skills preferred.
Experience in a large automated call service center and familiarity with at least one form of call processing software preferred.
Knowledge of and/or experience with radio paging protocols preferred. Physical Requirements:
Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:
Full time, 40 hours per week. Schedule: 4:00 pm 12:30 am weekdays.3:30 pm 12:00 am alternating weekend rotation with one weekday off per week.Hours may vary based upon the operational needs of the department.
