Reporting to the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor and CFO, this position will take the lead on projects assigned by the Chief of Staff while making informed recommendations or resolving issues, should they develop. This position will provide solutions, recommendations and knowledge that will support the CFO’s strategic initiatives and lead the CFO’s Office Strategic Plan.The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Chief of Staff and Executive Operations team on projects and interface with the CFO’s management team, staff, and university-wide employees as needed to inform on CFO initiatives. The position requires strong commitment to the University of Pittsburgh’s mission, values, and strategic vision as well as demonstrated success, sound judgement and flexibility working in a complex, fast-paced environment. To be effective in this role, a successful candidate will need a strong degree of initiative and independence, proven strategic perspective, business acumen, collaborative approach to work in a team environment, and professional autonomy.The Director of Administration will need strong execution focus along with the confidence to interact with senior executives, ability to collaborate across the organization and serve as a trusted advisor.
