Overview
The primary responsibilities for this position are to serve as the office manager for the Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Interdisciplinary Research, with responsibility for management of expenditures (travel, supplies and related purchases, scientific society dues and fees, etc.), administrator for the AVC including: calendar management; meeting management; coordination of nominations for prestigious awards; organization of presentations.Proficiency in general office procedures including phone decorum, Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of University business procedures related to office expenditures; knowledge of full spectrum of activities involved in management of a grant award program, from solicitation to award; comfort in contacting/speaking with senior level administrators and faculty throughout the University. Five years providing administrative support to a senior level administrator at the University and five years of experience as an office manager.
