**United Way of Mid Coast Maine** United Way is looking for a skilled professional to be responsible for accounting, financial budgeting and reporting, information technology, and personnel functions. Desired qualifications include at least 3-5 years experience in non-profit accounting, preferably with involvement in fundraising, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. This person needs the hands-on skill to be able to run all financial systems, including accounting functions, audit preparation, the pledge/designation process, the financial portions of grant management, a general understanding of investments and other financial products, accounts payable and receivable, development and tracking of budgets, and preparing reports for the Executive Director, Finance Committee, and Board. Required are proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, and the ability to quickly learn and use United Way’s Customer Relationship Management donor software. The Director of Finance & Administration has broad administration responsibilities and must work to ensure United Way’s continued strong accountability to donors and adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices. The person hired will need to have careful attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a commitment to United Way’s mission and work in the community.
