The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.The Administrative Assistant to the Director of Philanthropy will assist in all matters as it relates to donor development, correspondence and events.Duties and responsibilities Perform administrative duties for Director of Philanthropy such as screening calls; managing calendars; scheduling travel, meeting and event arrangements; mailing letters and packages. Prepare and edit correspondence, both internally with members of the Development Team and externally with (potential) donors and supporters. Communicate directly, and on behalf of the Director, with donors, staff, and others as requested by Director. Perform research on donors and potential donors, including individuals, private foundations, and corporations Assist in prioritizing and following-up on requests and questions from current and potential donors Assist as needed with Foundation Special Events.Qualifications 3-5 years executive level administrative experience. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills. Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines. Ability to assist with concerns involving sensitive and/or confidential information. Bachelors degree required. Nonprofit experience preferred. Microsoft Office proficient. Ability to work independently in fast paced environment and multi-task in a smart and timely fashion. Must be detailed oriented and organized. Must be a team player and able to work in a collaborative environment.Working conditionsSpecial Working conditions may include: a change in days worked, shift hours, and/or working conditions (outdoors or other locations) when participating and assisting in special events such as: NYC Tunnel to Towers Run, golf outings, and other fundraising events, as required.Kindly submit a cover letter along with your resume to also include the job listing title in the email subject.Tracking
