Job Summary:

As a Pre- Finish Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a diverse and talented manufacturing team. The Pre- Finish Manager is responsible for the work functions in the Pre-Finish area, preparing and painting doors. Your primary goal is to properly organize staff members and achieve a reasonable work flow throughout the day. Your position will also include training, and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a manufacturing setting.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results in the following areas:

o Paint room

o Stain room

o Glazing

o Slab prep

o Jamb prep

• Enforces company policies and guidelines

• Works as backup for all positions

• Supply checks, making sure we have sufficient supplies

• Train new employees, or direct Leads to train

• Ensure housekeeping is maintained

• Approve time sheets for employees

• Provide instructions to employees, including corrective actions

• Monitor attendance of employees

• Attend daily production meeting

• Conduct department meetings, at least 2 a month

• Able to meet production demands in a fast-paced environment, while meeting quality and consistency requirements

• Responsible to ensure that all of our products continuously meet the required standards of safety; legality and quality.

• Assists in supporting all Company policies and procedures

• Assists in supporting Safety Procedures and Policies


• Previous Manager experience

• Excellent coaching and communication skills

• Knowledge of process improvement, and production standards

• At least 1 year of experience as a Manager at a manufacturing plant

• The ability to head a team successfully and resolve issues relating to personnel quickly and efficiently

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills

• Experience with production planning, controls and instrumentation
