Inside Sales Manager Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Inside Sales Manager to oversee and support our inside sales team. The goal for the Inside Sales Manager is to be able to build and train a high-performance inside sales team that delivers high customer satisfaction.

The Inside Sales Manager will monitor sales metrics and manage the entire inside sales administration process. This person will need to have strong interpersonal and team skills, as they will interact with all internal departments and external customers. They should also be able to lead and motivate the sales team to achieve specific goals. In addition, this person will be working in a fast-paced environment and will need to juggle many projects and needs simultaneously. We expect this candidate to be data-driven and continuously improve their team and function.

Responsibilities:

? Manage the inside sales team

? Manage/schedule workflow for their staff

? Ability to manage and execute order entry into MRP system

? Build customer relationships with customers via phone, fax, e-mail and in person

? Suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration process

? Coordinate department projects to meet deadlines

? Report on inside sales metrics and suggest improvements

? Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or products

? Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement

? Build an open-communication environment for your team

? Liaise with Marketing and Product Development to ensure brand consistency and increase sales

? Qualifies business prospects and develops lead funnel to convert any new leads

? Works with Purchasing as needed for sourcing and product availability

? Prepare quotes of various size for our customers and follow through to completion and delivery

? Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor or General Manager

Qualifications:

? 2+ years of Inside Sales Management experience, required

? 2+ years managing and growing a team

? Hands on experience managing and using a CRM software

? Works comfortably in a variety of ERP systems

? Fluent in Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel

? Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

? Work in a fast-paced environment

? In-depth understanding of the inside sales administration process

? Excellent interpersonal and team management skills

? Strong analytical and organizational skills

? Numerical abilities and problem-solving attitude

? BS or BA degree in Business Administration or similar or similar work experience
