They are highly qualified childhood educators who can use their creativity and the Goddard Developmental Guidelines as the basis for unique lesson plans that are brought to life in a fun and imaginative way.DutiesThe Director’s responsibilities may include:Overseeing preschool operations including:Personnel ManagementProgram Development and SupportLicensing Maintenance and ManagementProfessional Staff DevelopmentFiscal Management Administrative SupportSales and MarketingDeveloping and maintaining strong family relationshipsWorking with peers as part of the entire management teamRequirementsThis candidate will need a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Child Development or related field. Three years or more of management experience is preferred. Strong organization skills, ability to delegate and communicate effectively with directors and staff. Ability to identify and troubleshoot critical issues. Excellent communication (both written and oral) abilities and a strong working knowledge of technology (devices and software) are necessary to thrive in this role. One must be self-motivated, highly organized, possess time management skills and be well versed in state licensing standards. Applicants must meet state educational and licensing requirements for director; additional center/school requirements may apply.
