Teradata is looking to hire a Cloud Product Marketing Manager to drive awareness and adoption of Teradata’s cloud offerings. The successful candidate will define and communicate positioning and differentiation via high-impact content and sales tools. Deliverables include technical product marketing materials for current and future capabilities, content to help customers and sales teams understand benefits and advantages, product demonstrations, partner co-marketing programs, and financial value calculations.

The successful candidate will become a Subject Matter Expert on Teradata’s cloud and analytics capabilities with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud (GCP) and have frequent interactions with enterprise customers and sales teams. Must have 5+ years of experience in B2B technology marketing, including 2+ years marketing cloud-based services to enterprise customers. Must be able to approach the marketing role from both business and technology perspectives and possess a strong understanding of cloud consumption and the broader analytic ecosystem for data-driven organizations. Must be able to represent capabilities and benefits in a clear, concise, and compelling manner with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

*Responsibilities include:*

* Develop value proposition, positioning, and messaging that differentiates Teradata cloud capabilities
* Work closely with associates in other functional areas to plan and execute the launch of new offerings, including press releases, analyst briefings, internal and external announcements, and social media
* Develop strong synergistic relationships with product management, sales, engineering, account-based marketing, and partner management
* Promote cloud adoption through internal and external advocacy – and identify and resolve barriers
* Work with sales teams to develop a strong understanding of customer needs, pain points, and market alternatives
* Orchestrate and deliver technical demonstrations that illustrate cloud capabilities in a simple and intuitive manner
* Create collateral such as sales presentations, white papers, blog posts, proposal modules, data sheets, videos, web pages, webinars, training, pricing, competitive comparisons, FAQs, and best practices


* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering, or computer science
* 5+ years of experience in B2B technology marketing targeting enterprise customers
* 2+ years of experience marketing cloud services to enterprise customers; strongly prefer experience working with (or for) AWS, Azure, or Google
* Ability to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, work independently, solve problems, improvise, and manage time effectively
* Entrepreneurial bias with a strong desire to be involved in a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving business area
* “Get stuff done” attitude with high degree of accountability; willingness to set bold goals and take measured risks
* Successful experience collaborating across cross-functional teams
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Preferred location is at our headquarters in San Diego, but willing to consider elsewhere; be aware, some in-office presence is required which could increase travel % in the future once we return to the office.
