Overview
Techead is currently looking for a Database Administrator to grow in a long-term position for one of our clients in the Richmond area. This individual will enhance and support database activities in support of enterprise imaging applications. We are only considering local candidates at this time.
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- 3+ years of proven working experience as an Informix Database Administrator interfacing with end user applications
- 3+ years’ experience integrating Java and .NET imaging applications with Informix or PostgreSQL databases desired
- Database backup, recovery, security, integrity, performance, replication, and SQL queries in a relational database environment
- Operating System Experience: Unix/Linux – HPUX and RHEL
- Management of Informix blob and smartblob storage experience with images; highly desired.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Additional consideration given to candidates with:
- Experience with PostgreSQL setup, replication, and management
- Informix onbar using DataProtector in an enterprise application
- College degree
