This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the activities of multiple manufacturing departments within assigned areas of Production. This person will serve as the primary contact with direct reports, aiding them in leading the daily operations of their areas and keeping the Director of Manufacturing informed of these activities.


  • Strategically plan for staff, equipment, materials, etc. needed to meet business needs/goals.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of in-process materials in order to meet production schedules.
  • Actively engage in the review, update, and approval of departmental documentation/procedures and act as a change agent for continuous department improvements.
  • Engage in proactive management of manufacturing cost of goods through budget development and cyclic financial analysis.
  • Complete employee appraisals/development plans for direct reports and be an active participant in the evaluation/development of indirect reports, serving as a catalyst to motivate staff towards continuous professional/personal development.


  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  • Successful leadership of multiple personnel in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
  • Additional related work experience may substitute for a portion of the education requirement.
  • Must be dependable, well organized, possess good interpersonal and problem solving skills.
