Sr. Production Underwriter/Regional Sales Manager

Our nationally recognized MGA/MGU client is seeking to add an experienced Commercial Lines Production Underwriter to their growing team. Position is fully remote, even after Covid-19.

The Production Underwriter/Regional Sales Manager will be primarily responsible for the management of the assigned territory including new business production, direct written premium, and renewal business, as well as for developing a territory consisting of national and regional brokers to expand upon their regional distribution network of agents and brokers.

Requirements of the Regional Sales Manager

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business or related field
    • Professional designations (CIC, CPCU, ARM, P&C Producers License) highly desired
    • At least 3 years of commercial insurance territory management experience
    • At least 3 years of commercial lines insurance experience, with background in UW strongly preferred
    • Demonstrable expertise with a variety of sales and insurance concepts, practices, and procedures
    • Documented relationships and experience managing and selling to large independent agencies, national and regional brokers, aggregators, and wholesalers
    • E&S experience a plus

Additional Details

Salary: Dependent upon experience and background, but between $90-110k + commission

Responsibilities of the Regional Sales Manager

  • Annually creates territory distribution strategy conferring with senior leadership and field underwriting in support of financial plans
  • Create, manage, and meet/exceed annual new business production plan through consistent visibility and developing significant relationships
  • Drive financial performance of assigned territory exceeding premium and profitability goals
  • Drive national and local strategies to maximize revenue growth, customer acquisition, and business retention
  • Leverage industry and territory knowledge to develop robust pipeline for sustainable growth
  • Develop annual agency/broker business plans with select partners and hold accountable through various metrics (submissions, premium commitment, pipeline, etc.)
  • Recruit, develop and manage regional distribution network to include national and regional brokers, independent agents, aggregators, and wholesalers
