Position Summary:

This position will help setup and run machines within a prototype manufacturing environment to assist in the execution of new and existing jobs on various machines. Candidate should be able to make changes to code at the machine to correct errors and modify for improved efficiency and longevity. They will work directly with the CNC programmers to help prove out and run new and existing jobs through the prototype department. They will be responsible for the quality conformance and part workmanship (deburring, handling) for all components manufactured. This position will build upon the CNC Setup II skillset to setup and prove out new and existing jobs and provide process changes to improve the component quality, cycle-time, or production stability and provide feedback to the CNC programmers.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

* Must have Set-Up Level I skillset.
* Must be cross functional in at least 2 setup types.
* Operating a machine as needed.
* Advanced Troubleshooting skills (Milling guide adjustment, establishing machine reference position, probe calibration, etc.).
* Knowledge of machining equations (surface speed, chip load, etc.).
* Understand GD&T.
* Adjusting parameters as authorized (conveyor run times, interference zones, etc.).
* Work with programming/engineering for process improvements.
* Maintaining machine tool equipment (inventory, maintenance, etc.).
* Able to prove new programs in a safe yet efficient manner.
* Troubleshoot and cycling/moving employees as needed.
* Assist with training.
* Participates in and sustains 5S Standards.
* Engages in and actively volunteers for Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
* Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
