The employer client is a full service accounting firm providing accounting and tax services to both individuals and businesses. The firm, located in South Reno, offers a positive, modern and pleasant working environment that is both professional and fun/relaxed.

Title is flexible: Staff – Senior Accountant – Full Charge Bookkeeper

Position and Responsibilities:

* Preparation, compilation and review engagements for various types of clients

* Prepare tax returns for a variety of clients; including individual, corporate, partnership, trusts and estates

* Prepare work papers following the Firm’s policies and procedures

* Consistently meet established deadlines, ensuring that work/review processes are complete

Skills and Qualifications:

* 2+ years recent CPA firm experience is firmly required due to the culture of client support and for knowledge to self-start with technology systems used in the day to day duties of the position in a public firm

* Degree preferred but not required; if experience in full charge bookkeeping is 5+ years. CPA designation welcome, but not required. Compensation may be flexible for the level of experience, education and certification.

* Strong organizational, communication and computer skills; proficiency in tax programs, QuickBooks and Excel: CCH Access Tax and Engagement experience preferred

* Excellent attention to detail in a deadline-oriented environment

* Self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

* Demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, tact, positive attitude and enthusiasm in the performance of duties

* Industry knowledge helpful in construction and medical office accounting

Starting Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year * depending on experience and salary history *
