To view more on Raytheon Technologies, click here: The Systems Engineering Center is seeking a strong, technically sound engineering leader for the role of Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) who is committed and passionate about creating innovative, cost-effective solutions for the overall assembly, integration and test of the payload. The successful candidate will serve as the AI&T Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) on a large-scale, and very complex Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Communications (ISRC) Space Development Program. The successful candidate will work with the Chief Engineer and the SEIT lead, to drive all AI&T execution activities on the program.Responsibilities include leading a team through the testing and integration of the RF payload system from low level Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and module test to a fully integrated system of hardware, software and firmware subsystems and components. The successful candidate will interface with cross-functional product teams, sub-contractors, program management, and functional managers, as well as, non-engineering organizations such as finance, operations, supply chain, contracts and mission assurance to ensure the successful execution and delivery of the final system. The SEC Assembly Integration and Test Lead will:Manage a team through the assembly, integration and testing of a complex electronics unit from electronic circuit card through unit level environmental testing on a high reliable system.Establish, and implement a comprehensive integration and test program that ensures that requirements verified by test are instituted and all necessary Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V) work products are incorporated into that planAchieve AI&T program objectives on schedule, and consistent with quality and technical standards while meeting the program cost targetsFoster culture in-line with high performance and cohesive teams necessary to meet program cost and schedule objectives.Plan, coordinate, and communicate with the cross-functional team responsible for delivering an RF system, subsystems, products and services.Share oversight of execution on all aspects of the design, development, integration, and test of the SEC IPT space work productsWork alongside the Chief Engineer and other IPTLs to manage the SEC integration and test team.Provide technical leadership and oversight of the entire RF product life cycle development activities, including: requirements analysis, validation and verification; hardware and software design and development; system level integration, interface definition; and algorithm development.Support the development of cost proposals; risk and opportunity management, and ensure the technical solution meets the system requirements, as well as the development costs. Required Skills:Minimum of 12+ years demonstrated experience with at least 5 years working space hardware and systems engineeringMinimum of 5 years demonstrated engineering leadership experience as an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL), functional or program managerMust have extensive knowledge of complex RF system as applied to high reliability space systems with the level of experienced required to achieve the technical performance and objectives of a development program.Experience in the development and testing of high reliability space products (Class A/B)Experience in leading engineering technical and anomaly resolutions to closureUnderstanding of System Engineering and design work products critical to system test and verificationExperience in a RF space development program supporting test, verification and sell-off of productFundamental understanding of RF principles and system capabilitiesKnowledge of test methods to verify critical RF parameters and requirementKnowledge and experience in software/hardware integration and test of embedded, real-time complex systemsExperience with system or subsystem level Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V)Knowledge of environmental test methods and practices (e.g. Dynamic, Vibration, EMI, Thermal Vacuum)Experience with thermal, vibration and EMI testingExperience in receiving unit and subsystems and taking ownership of integrating and testing those elements for final sell-offDeveloping and baselining a comprehensive resource-loaded schedule that accounts for but not limited to: 1) STE development, certification, and validation; 2) Software/Algorithm product implementation and validation; 3) Test Procedure development; 4) Functional Test and Demonstration; 5) Integration of subassemblies and Units; and 6) Acceptance Test activitiesExperience in developing and executing system level interface, integration and test plans for space projectsUnderstanding of the requirements development and flow down processKnowledge of STE design, testing or operationExperience with the technical reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, PER etc)Experience with System and Subsystem Level Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V)Experience with developing and presenting technical briefings to the customer and company leadershipExperience with cost and schedule management using a government approved Earned Value Management System (EVMS)Experience identifying engineering resources and skill sets required to complete assigned tasksExperience establishing and maintaining working relationship with all levels of the organization, including customers, users, and other peer groupsActive TS/SCI or SSBI Clearance Desired Skills:Experience with RF tuning, calibration and phase noise measurement techniquesExperience in RF Communications and/or Radar Systems technical domainsExperience in SATCOM Network systems and architecturesExperience in proposal development including creations of Basis-of-EstimatesExperience with Software integration, test, and configuration managementExperience interfacing with the customer to establish trusted relationships and advocating for continued investment in both current and future technology investments.
