The Server Patching & Windows engineer will be responsible for server OS patch deployment, Server Deployment as well as patching standards and process to maintain server health across the enterprise environment. The selected candidate will interface with the Security, Application, Infrastructure, and ITSM teams to coordinate Windows patching, server deployments, and maintenance. The candidate will create and maintain operational procedures as needed to ensure patching success rates and will be the main point of communication for Windows OS patching. Additionally, the candidate will interface with customers and management to conduct reviews and provide reporting on patching status and any trends seen to help improve the health of the environment.

Patching Engineer
Responsibilities:
· Hands on Experience with Deploying Security Patches to Enterprise Environment of 100+ Servers during Prod, Non – Prod and alternate Patch Cycles.
· Hands-On experience with Schedule and Deploy Patches from BigFix and WSUS Patch Catalogues.
· Experience using BigFix for patch log analysis.
· Create Dashboards in excel to get an overview of post patching progress.
· Extensive experience troubleshooting Patching errors, manually fixing failed patches and performing RCA in collaboration with Microsoft.
· Change Management for Patching activity and notifications for all Stakeholders.
· Experience performing Vulnerability management by deploying security settings on Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019 Servers as instructed
· Incident and Task management using ServiceNow.
· Extensively created Documentation for patching process and patching error code RCA.
· Employs continual service improvement though monthly and quarterly patch management metrics reviews.
· Communicates patch management process and procedures, working practices, and changes to internal teams and customers
· Updates and maintains enterprise patch maintenance windows with the business.
· Maintains ticket queues for new patching or change requests
· Escalates issues for resolution to appropriate teams when necessary.
· Minimum 5+ years of systems engineering/administration experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

Wintel Engineer
Responsibilities:
· Experienced in virtual and physical Windows Server deployments
· Experience with building virtual templates and deploying Servers in VMware virtual environment.
· Manual Server Patching and Hardening after deployment.
· Provide OS configuration support and troubleshooting issues for the end client on the newly deployed servers.
· Discovery of un-used servers and Identify them for decommissioning.
· Performing the WINTEL decommissioning process to reclaim server resources like IPs and reclaim virtual resources.
· Ensuring CMDB is updated and accurate after commissioning & decommission.
· Provides technical support and consultation to teams and customers as needed.
