The Mechanical Construction Superintendents are responsible to provide on-site administrative & technical management for mechanical, piping, QA/QC, and start-up/checkout.Qualified candidates must have 10+ years of mechanical construction field experience working on industrial and heavy industrial plant construction projects. This is a long-term contract opportunity slated to last through October, and per diem is available for qualified candidates.Requirements:+ 10+ years of mechanical construction field experience working on industrial and heavy industrial plant construction projects+ 7+ years of specific experience as a Mechanical Superintendent on these projectslocation: Kalamazoo, Michiganjob type: Contractsalary: $50 – 63 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: High Schoolresponsibilities:+ Provide on-site administrative & technical management for mechanical, piping, QA/QC, and start-up/checkout+ Report to your Site Manager and ensure that these systems are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule+ Responsible for overall supervision of the mechanical construction efforts, which includes: productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, materials management, scheduling, engineering, and contractual performance of the project.+ Work with Subcontractors daily to ensure that the project is constructed & documented in accordance with the project specifications, policies, detailed drawings & industry standards+ Complete daily field reports and take daily pictures to document construction progress+ Interface with the client and your internal Engineering departments daily+ Assist with the implementation of safety programs and provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required#LI-AA1The essential functions of this role include:+ working up to 10 hrs of overtime per weekqualifications:+ Experience level: Experienced+ Minimum 5 years of experience+ Education: High School (required)skills:+ Construction (3 years of experience is required)+ Industrial Construction (3 years of experience is required)+ Mechanical (10 years of experience is required)+ Piping (5 years of experience is required)Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
