Position Title: Administrative Operations ManagerSalary: Negotiable; Starts at $25,000 for 0.5 FTEHours: 20 hours per weekStart Date: Flexible for the right candidateProdigy Overview: Prodigy Ventures Inc is a network of social enterprises offering apprenticeship to low-income young adults who are not finding success in traditional work or school structures. In 2015, Prodigys founding team blended the best of instructional strategies and cognitive psychology to create a program that is now being explored as a national model. Our first enterprise, Prodigy Coffeehouse, opened July, 2016 in the Northeast Denver communities of Globeville-Elyria-Swansea. At Prodigy, young adults develop mindsets and skills not just for lifelong work as professionals in the new economy, but a basis to go beyond these walls and help Denver grow into a healthy, vibrant, equitable city.Prodigys impact goal is that apprentices secure meaningful, sustainable employment and experience economic mobility. Prodigys model draws inspiration from Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles. We have trained about 200 young adults and hired over 50 apprentices in our first four years of operation. In 2022 we plan to open a second coffeehouse with a new Learning Lab.Position Overview:As the organization scales, Prodigy is in need of a detail-oriented and self-driven organizational professional to support administrative and development activities.In partnership with the Executive Director, the Administrative Operations Manager will improve operational efficiencies for the nonprofit side of the social enterprise. This is a distinct set of operations from the coffeehouse which has its own operations manager.
