Point Foundation is the nations largest scholarship-granting organization for LGBTQ students of merit.Point seeks to build community and springboard a new generation of LGBTQ leaders toward success. Point does this through scholarship funding, mentorship, leadership development, and community service training, and is the nations largest scholarship-granting organization for LGBTQ students of merit.Points work is vital because nearly one-third of LGBTQ students drop out of high school to escape the violence, harassment, and isolation they face there. As a result, many LGBTQ students say they are not planning to pursue opportunities for higher education.Administrative Coordinator Position OverviewProviding key daily administrative support, the Point Foundation Administrative Coordinator will play a pivotal communications and support role for the organization. This person will ensure call reception and administrative support responsibilities are completed accurately with high touch service. This individual will have a high attention to detail helping support and connect our staff while also assisting the finance and administrative team with ongoing projects.We are interested in a team member who is nimble, detail oriented, tech savvy, and passionate about our mission. Point Foundation is a fast-paced and collaborative work environment and as such successful candidates should be able to multi-task, prioritize, and possess strong communication skills.Report To:Human Resources & Finance DirectorSupervise and Manage: N/AStatus:Full-Time Non-ExemptCompensation:$20/hourLocation:Los AngelesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral administrative and office supportPerform remote phone and email messaging reception via cloud phone system during business hoursSupport staff with general IT/technology/application assistance, as well as, coordinate with outside IT consultantCollaborate and perform daily/weekly/annual administrative projects as delegated by Finance and Administrative staffOrganize and manage organization cloud file sharing (SharePoint) for organization and staffAssist with in-person cleanup and close out physical office space and storage of office items as neededEnsure on-site and off-site storage is maintained and organized as neededAssist with physical office space set up when space is re-establishedEnsure proper and professional maintenance of all office areas and housekeeping of all office facilities when new office is opened*Other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSQUALIFICATIONSMinimum of two years experience related to office, personal assistant, or administrative supportAdvanced computer proficiencyExperienced with Windows OS and Office 365 (e.g. SharePoint, Outlook)General handiness and fearless approach to IT, phone system, and computer applicationsKNOWLEDGE & SKILLSAdvanced verbal and professional written communication abilitiesExcellent time, resource, and project management skillsPositive, cheerful, and professional demeanorAbility to interact with diplomacy and tact amid diverse groupsEnjoy group work and collaboration but also possess the ability to work independentlyDemonstrate integrity and strive for excellenceAble to manage multiple projects and remain focused in the face of pressureAble to maintain strict confidentialityGENERALPassionate about Points mission and able to promote and communicate the organizations philosophy, mission, and valuesStrong knowledge of, or connection to, the LGBTQ community and related social issuesThe purpose of this job description is to provide an overview of the scope of the position. If and when it is safe to do so (in compliance with the state and local guidance), the Administrative Coordinator will be expected to work from the Point Foundation headquarters in Los Angeles full-time.
