The Team Administrative Assistant is responsible to assist Physicians Choice Home Health Care (the Agency) staff with clerical support of administrative and clinical activities as assigned. This includes but is not limited to the monitoring and organization of medical record documentation, the communication with clinical staff regarding client benefits, visit scheduling, and episode documentation requirements, the verification and communication with insurance carriers and other external health care providers to obtain and exchange necessary episode related information, and the clerical support of agency payroll activities. This position is also engaged in management of the responsibilities associated with the receptionist desk for the Agency. Education/Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or its equivalent. One to two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of training and relevant work experience. Previous Home Health administrative assistant experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Communicates articulately in both verbal and written forms with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Knowledge of medical terminology likely to be encountered with home health care insurance verification, eligibility, and benefits. Completes pre-employment health clearance and other tests as required by the state of Nebraska. Working Conditions/Equipment: The incumbent primarily works in an office environment that is not regularly exposed adverse environmental conditions such as heat, cold, or extreme noise. This position is normally sedentary in nature with minimal lifting requirements but may include lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds. The incumbent must be able to grasp, feel, hear, speak, sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift. The incumbent must be able to effectively operate the current computer systems and programs utilized by the company. They must also be able to operate a personal computer, keyboard, basic office equipment, and small medical equipment. Occupational Exposure/Personal Protective Equipment: This employee is in Category 3 with requirements for Personal Protective Equipment as follows: Mask usage as related to any applicable Public Health Emergencies that are currently in place.Tracking
