Production CoordinatorMarketing Communications Specialist 4 (Production Coordinator)The creative team in the Office of Strategic Communications-Penn State’s central news, public relations, and marketing division-is looking for an experienced production coordinator to guide and facilitate the planning and delivery of small- and large-scale creative projects. Reporting to the Marketing Department’s creative director, the production coordinator will help ensure that project staffing, goals, timelines, deliverables, and workflows are clear and on track for meeting key unit priorities.The successful candidate will know how to work with designers, writers, strategists, photographers, videographers, and web developers, as well as internal and external clients. In addition, he or she will have experience developing creative content with marketing, media, and public relations professionals.Responsibilities include:Receiving and organizing input and direction for project requestsConsulting with key stakeholders to help define goals, strategies, and expectationsIdentifying potential gaps or blockers in project requests and projects already in progressReporting project statusMonitoring creative-team workloads and project progressManaging scope creepThe ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, pay strong attention to detail, and be self-motivated and self-directed. Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or higher plus six or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to manage video projects and experience with marketing, news, and public relations is highly desired. Proficiency using robust project management software and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Drive is essential.At this time, work for this position will be performed remotely.
