Overview

Job Summary: Maintain molds, practices predictive and preventative maintenance, familiarity with standard tool room equipment, and maintains thorough and accurate tool maintenance records.

2nd shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm (training will take place on 1st shift for the first few week’s)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains and repairs injection molds to support production and engineering requirements
  • Maintenance of molds, trim dies, and fixtures
  • Finish tool fitting, grinding, or polishing.
  • Assists other toolmakers and trainees in operation and set up of tool room equipment.
  • Maintain accurate mold history/records.
  • Ability to train and perform minor CNC support.
  • Observes all health and safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an apprentice tool maker, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General working knowledge of mold making concepts, practices, and guidelines.
  • Blueprint interpretation.
  • Experience with stoning and polishing of mold components.
  • Experience with mold assembly, disassembly, and cleaning.
  • Strong computer and math skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced production environment.
  • Ability to make judgement’s and decisions based on company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time, perform moderate to heavy physical lifting,moving of equipment, and maintain dexterity when handling parts and components.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, hoist, and pallet jack.
  • English language proficiency to include verbal and written communication.
  • Must pass all pre-employment screenings.
