Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems in San Diego, CA has an opening for a Staffing Lead and Hiring Champion Manager 2 within our Systems Integration, Test and Evaluation (SIT&E) Directorate. With this role, you will have an exciting opportunity to build the team that supports all programs within the Autonomous Design Center of Excellence (CoE), have exposure to executive leadership, and build a diverse professional network of employees and managers across SIT&E and all of our CoE engineering directorates.
The responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
Coordination with functional managers at all levels and program managers for the identification of staffing needs and placement of new and experienced hires on programs
Scheduling and conducting interviews and assisting with hiring decisions and placement of staff within SIT&E
Maintaining the overall SIT&E staffing and workforce planning tools and resources to enable projections, data aggregation, and metrics reporting as needed
Attending all staffing meetings and reporting status to Directors and VPs
Coordination with Talent Acquisition and CoE senior leadership to understand current staffing best practices in order to provide coaching and resources to the SIT&E functional management team
Periodic and regular meetings with program managers and IPT leads as needed to assist with their staffing reporting needs
Development and maintenance of internal staffing tracking tools to enable on demand reporting of SIT&E staff movement, growth, and attrition
Development and maintenance of employee and manager onboarding resources, checklists, guides, and tools to streamline and improve the SIT&E onboarding process for all new employees and managers
Support or serve as the lead point of contact for SIT&E for the University Relations and Recruiting (UR&R) and NG Pathways (new hire rotation) programs
Provide input for efforts related to developing and tracking the SIT&E Leadership and Technical Bench
Lead strategic staffing initiatives such as the SIT&E point of contact for networking events and staffing innovation efforts to attract new talent to the organization
This position is based in San Diego, CA with some travel required for offsite recruitment events and interviews.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
Minimum of 7 years of Engineering Experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Ability to travel as necessary up to 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior functional management experience
Experience in interviewing candidates for engineering positions
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership capabilities
Experience in presenting to Executives and Senior level management
Experience with conducting behavioral based interviewing and/or trained in DDI Behavioral Interviewing
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
