Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a highly qualified, mission oriented individual to lead a team of cross-discipline specialist engineers located in Chandler, AZ.
The Manager, Business Development 2 will:
Represent Northrop Grumman Launch Vehicle business unit products and services with enthusiasm and integrity
Lead multi-disciplinary program management and engineering teams in business capture and proposal efforts.
Work with customers to understand needs and requirements and effectively identify business opportunities within those needs.
Prepare and effectively present customer briefings
Manage all aspects proposal planning, preparation, and submittal efforts
Develop accurate program cost and schedule estimates for new business opportunities.
Coordinate with executive management on proposal/bid strategies.
Collaborate with other industry groups and companies and form teams/coalitions to pursue business opportunities.
Represent and market Northrop Grumman Space Systems’ products and services at industry trade shows and conferences.
Work with documentation and graphic design personnel to create advertising and promotion concepts for new product literature.
Travel both for trade shows and short notice trips to customer/supplier facilities.
Identifies and implements business development projects relating to new products and/or industries, technologies, or services.
Identifies markets, licensing opportunities, and determines the feasibility of product development.
Performs economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities and/or business models and coordinates with internal departments in identifying/implementing business development projects.
Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives
Candidate must be able to travel 25% – 50% of the time.

5 years of relevant experience in business, project or technical management
2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
Understanding of core Business Development, competitive analysis, capture management, and/or proposal development processes
Knowledge of the aerospace industry, including primes, suppliers, and services and their capabilities
Must have a current and active Secret clearance
Experience in winning proposal preparation
Customer liaison experience.
