The CI Analyst – Lean Practitioner is responsible for driving change and improving overall business processes throughout the organization that supports and align with the businesses’ strategic objectives. CI Analyst applies Lean Six Sigma principles to identify and deliver on strategic improvement opportunities that result in increased efficiencies, reduced waste, and improved control of business processes. The CI Analyst shall plan and design processes interfacing with the manufacturing facility, conducts studies in operations to maximize workflow and spatial utilization, and promotes workplace safety and facility efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  • Support organizational achievement of strategic objectives relating to cost performance, quality, and operational excellence,
  • Dedication to the growth and maturity of the culture of continuous improvement
  • Change Management- Encourages others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities; facilitates the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace.
  • Maximize efficiency within the manufacturing facility by analysis of equipment layout, assembly methods, and workforce utilization
  • Leading all phases of CI projects using formal methodologies (DMAIC, PDCA, Kaizen, and RCCA)
  • Conduct time studies, collect data and drive action to identify where non-value added activities occur
  • Independently identifies process gaps and recommends and implements process improvement.
  • Institute changes independently and effectively; Change Agent
  • Provide support and coordination to the operations team, factory, and field personnel as needed
  • Use education and company provided training to further develop required skills


Key Roles and Skill Sets

  • Strong general computer skills including working knowledge of email, MS Office, and similar software
  • Knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles (TAKT time, KANBAN, PDCA, cell designs)
  • Process Management Skills – Ability to determine the process to be used to accomplish goals, properly document processes, know how to organize people and activities, understand how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow, identify opportunities for synergy and integration, and simplify complex processes
  • Experience with Process mapping and value stream mapping
  • Strong spatial aptitude
  • Experience leading teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3-5 years direct experience in a continuous improvement role implementing business process improvements
  • Six Sigma Certification required
