Overview
Overview:Modern medicine is supported by biomedical research. While the scientific discoveries arise from the work in the research labs, there are many other critical roles that occur outside the lab that ensure this work can occur. Research administration refers to a wide umbrella of non-lab activities that make biomedical research possible. These include activities like developing and implementing research funding programs, enabling decisions about what research ideas to fund, ensuring all ethical and standard regulations are followed and monitoring the progress of the funded projects.
