As a Sr HR Advisor within the HR Delivery Services team, you will be responsible for partnering with the business to advise on solutions for employee (union-represented and non-union people) accommodations and leave situations. Activities you will be responsible for advising on will include Workers Comp Accommodations, Temporary Medical Restrictions, Reasonable Suspicion​, Medical Accommodations, Non-Medical Accommodations, ADA Job Search and the Safety Sensitive Program. Success is further exhibited by building strong relationships, being a change agent, adaptability, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and maintaining a customer first mindset. *The Main Responsibilities* * Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work needs. Ensures that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave. * Maintains knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws. * Advise management on appropriate actions needed for employees who require leave or modified work * Advises managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers compensation, and short-term and long-term disability benefits. * Ensure ADA compliance in all cases * Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws. * Suggest new procedures or process improvements to continually improve efficiency and improve the employee experience * All other duties as assigned *What We Look For in a Candidate* * You have a minimum of five years of Human Resources experience with an understanding of employee relations, employment law (American Disability Act and FMLA). * You have the ability to remain professional under pressure and exceptional conflict resolution skills. * You have the ability to effectively work independently and identify when to engage additional resources or escalate as necessary. * You have demonstrated the ability to set priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, and deliver against deadlines * You have excellent interpersonal skills with experience dealing at all levels within an organization * You have excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills * You have sound analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and negotiating skills with the ability to understand and contextualize broad HR issues * You have the ability to drive to positive resolution * You have impeccable discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information *Education* *Basic Qualifications* * Bachelors degree in business or HR-related field or equivalent education * 5+ years of HR experience *Preferred Qualifications* * Master’s Degree in business or HR-related field with 2+ years of HR experience * Large company HR experience in a Center of Excellence Shared Services environment * Hands-on experience and capability in working with both a represented and non-represented workforce Requisition #: 241168 When applying for a position, you may be subject to a background screen (criminal records check, motor vehicle report, and/or drug screen), depending on the requirements for the position. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
