POSITION SUMMARY

Located in our Toledo, OH office, our Customer Service Team is working alongside our suppliers and customers to deliver superior products in our building materials segment. This team serves as a call center for our Indiana, Ohio, and Eastern Michigan markets. The day-to-day responsibilities for this position include:

  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with new and existing customers
  • Working alongside Outside Sales Representatives
  • Quoting and order entry
  • Answering incoming customer inquiries
  • Customer support and timely problem resolution
  • Processing customer returns
  • Occasional delivery scheduling
  • Creating raving fans of the Lumbermen’s brand

This position also includes some inside sales work calling on customers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma/GED required
  • College degree preferred
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a professional customer service environment
  • Building material exposure in wholesale or retail
  • Experience with Agility or a similar system

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Friendly, professional demeanor
  • Dependable
  • Ability to work cooperatively with fellow employee owners
  • Ability to effectively move between a variety of tasks
  • Ability to productively manage tasks and complete work accurately in a timely manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
