POSITION SUMMARY
The customer inventory planner is responsible for the planning/reporting/disposition of Customer Inventory for all sites. Planning inventory specific to a customer’s forecast, ordering processes while taking in to account the impact to Operations capacities. The planner works with Account Services, Product Management, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, Accounting, P & IP, P & IC on all accounts to manage the inventory, production, distribution and disposition. Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the planning, advising and recommendations regarding inventory programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Works with Sales, Customer and internal departments to determine the most effective and efficient levels of inventory (for both the Customer and the Company) in support of the company’s inventory turns objectives. This includes finished goods, buyouts, imports and raw materials.
  • Works closely with Sales, Product Management, Business Support Services, Account Services (and other internal departments) to manage accounts and to find resolutions to problems and troubleshoot issues on Customer Inventory. This involves issues with forecast, inventory plans, rollouts, new products, safety stock, balancing capacities and excess/obsolete inventory.
  • Plans the coordination and implementation of a new Customer Inventory program or changes to a revised Customer Inventory program.
  • Apex/Business Objects maintenance/development.
  • Compilation and distribution of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Extensive work with Sales, Customers, Account Services and Executives to review excess/obsolete inventory and develop plans for disposition.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments
  • Ability to work and interact well with others .

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or other related field .

Experience: Five years of business related experience. Prefer at least 2 years at Lozier.

· Demonstrated critical path thinking skills.
· Intermediate PC skills (Excel, Word, Access, Business Objects, Outlook).
· Intermediate and demonstrated analytical skills.
· Demonstrated effective communication skills (verbal and written).
· Excellent time management skills.
