The Automotive advertising sales manager is an integral part of the advertising and marketing relationship with The Review-Journal’s automotive clients and has the primary responsibility for meeting and exceeding assigned sales revenue goals for managed team, providing exceptional customer service, and leading managed team to meet/exceed their assigned individual sales revenue goals. Primary responsibilities include: supervising, coaching, and directing day-to-day selling activities for a team of Account Executives; driving team’s daily sales activity for achievement of revenue goals; working with team to drive account retention, growth strategies, and new business development; ensuring that team sells audience-based solutions that include the appropriate array of RJ products and services to meet the advertisers’ expressed needs; providing accurate forecasting when requested; ensuring accuracy and integrity of rates; recruiting, coaching, training, and development of sales team; sustaining strong client relationships and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction at all times; ensuring accurate, timely internal and external communication at all times.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or similar field, or equivalent work
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing a sales team with a proven track record of goal
  • Experience working with national and/or larger regional advertisers
  • Digital advertising sales understanding and experience required; accepted industry digital advertising certification
  • Social media marketing understanding and experience
  • Experienced using sales CRM
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are
