The Competition Services Team Lead is responsible for the daily operations of Competition Services. This will include oversight of snow removal, fence installations, material transports, venue set ups, arena, and feature upkeep. This position will also be involved in USSA races, Middle/High School races, Group races, Ski Club races, USASA events and special events. Assistance is also provided to other departments, as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and supervise Competition Services staff.
  • Supervise snow removal, fence installations, material transports, venue set ups, arena and feature upkeep.
  • Supervise staff for USSA, USSA, Middle School, High School, and other events.
  • Participate in event planning with Keystone’s Marketing, Group Sales, and Corporate Sales Departments.
  • Participate in the budgeting process for Competition Services.
  • Work as a contact person with Keystone’s Marketing, Group, and Corporate sales departments regarding special events.
  • Work as a contact person with Keystone Ski patrol as it pertains tofencing and safety features need around the area.
  • Oversee the training and records keeping of the training for Competition Services Staff.
  • Represent Competition Services as Safety Leadto Keystone Health and Safety.
  • Represent Competition Services at Managers meetings when the Manager is not available.

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (College Degree – preferred)
  • 2+years of experience with ski patrol operations or 4+ years of mountain operations experience.
  • Prior experienceworking with USSA, USASA, Middle School, and High Schoolraces/ events.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or lead experience.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Advanced cat operator.
  • Must be an expert skier or rider.
  • Must be fluent in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Advancedknowledge of Microsoft Office / MS Outlook / MS Excel.
  • Advanced knowledge of Split Second Timing and race timing and communication Infrastructures.
  • Willbe required to work extended hours outside in alpine mountain environment with variable weather conditions including snow, wind, cold and sun.
  • Will be required to work weekends and holidays.

The budgeted range starts at $18.00-$18.50 . Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
