This role sits within the “change the bank” side of the Wholesale Credit Solutions group. You will be part of a motivated, forward thinking team comprised of high-talent individuals with a singular focus on delivering innovative solutions. The team works across all Wholesale lines of business and partners closely with stakeholders in Credit Risk Management, Corporate Technology, Bankers, Finance, Model Research and Development, Data Science, Reporting, Analytics and Operations.Internal Description Organization Wholesale Credit Solutions group is a newly created organization spanning across CB, CIB and AWM Credit Risk. This role will sit within the Transformation Office, a centralized team focused on reshaping the end-to-end Wholesale Credit Risk experience, while driving consistency, speed and efficiency across risk management processes. The Transformation Office has two primary functions: run the bank (restructuring current processes and policies) and change the bank (implementing strategic processes utilizing new data and machine learning solutions).This role sits within the “change the bank” side and is part of a motivated, forward thinking team comprised of high-talent individuals with a singular focus on delivering innovative solutions. The team works across all Wholesale lines of business and partners closely with stakeholders in Credit Risk Management, Corporate Technology, Bankers, Finance, Model Research and Development, Data Science, Reporting, Analytics and Operations. Position This role will be part of the Wholesale Strategic Analytics team focused on credit monitoring and data strategy. The Analytics team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing risk management capabilities and products through data and analytical solutions built on top of the firm’s big data resources. In particular, the role will focus on leveraging data to enhance the current data quality and sourcing framework.Responsibilities Include but not limited to: Design and implement a robust data controls framework for the team’s data-driven products and models. Drive actionable insights in credit risk by analyzing structured/unstructured data from internal and external data sources. Gather, synthesize, analyze and present project data and findings. Participate in working groups of senior credit officers. Implement recommendations. Convey key findings in dashboards and presentations to senior management by developing data visualization and summarization techniques. Lead product enhancements that require new or augmented datasets from internal or external sources; gather requirements, conduct supporting data analysis, create execution plans and own delivery. Supports risk strategy development by conducting data analysis on diverse datasets from small scale to “big data”. Deliver strategic presentations for both internal and external audiences. Establish and cultivate relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including technology, credit, product and project leads, to develop contacts on relevant subject matter. Develop and contribute to a product roadmap and prioritize key projects. Own data documentation available to the team includes data dictionary and data flows. Wholesale Credit Solutions and U.S. Military Veteran Qualifications Enlisted/Junior Officer background with 4+ years of Military experience 0-5 years of separation from military service At least 4+ years in a strategy, product management or data analytics role within financial services industry required. Previous credit risk experience and knowledge of traditional wholesale credit products is a plus. At least 2+ years of professional experience with hands-on experience with SQL and Python. Experience leading projects involving any of the following: product enhancements, data management, applications integration, data warehousing or business intelligence is preferred. Self-starter with the ability to solve problems creatively and deliver results while working in a dynamic, collaborative, and challenging environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to communicate business and technical concepts to both expert and novice audiences. Experience creating impactful presentations in PowerPoint to convey ideas as required. An ability to work well in cross-functional teams, analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, and communicate effectively and confidently. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask to meet deadlines under pressure. Outstanding interpersonal skills needed for working in a team environment and with cross-functional teams in multiple, global locations. Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MySQL, etc. a plus.
