The group consists of approximately 2,000 employees globally and has an internal operating expense budget of approx. $600M and an external professional service spend of approx. $600M. Legal is organized by Line of Business teams that conform to the Firm’s lines of business and corporate staff areas. This structure provides the means for Legal to communicate legal and regulatory changes to the business lines, and for the business lines to communicate business developments that have legal or regulatory implications to Legal in a timely manner.Position Summary Legal Finance & Business Management is seeking a high performing individual to support analysis, reporting and presentations of all financial and management reporting for Legal lines of business, including materials for monthly Executive Management Reports and Quarterly Business Reviews. This role serves as the liaison between Corporate Finance shared hubs and the Legal Business Management team, and helps to drive the department’s strategic agenda through internal and external expense reporting, planning & analysis, resource management and organizational management. The role requires advanced metrics, data management and consolidation, headcount forecasting, and financial analysis support. The ideal candidate will be well balanced qualitatively and quantitatively, recognizing and escalating important variances, with an understanding of the underlying drivers. This position is based in Plano, TX.Key Responsibilities Partner with a Senior Business Manager to coordinate outlook, budget and financial analysis Partner with corporate sector finance shared hubs to ensure outlook and budget are properly reflected in the financial reporting system (CSPRA) Manage the completion of monthly corporate finance deliverables, including interaction with shared hub teams to provide commentary and walk forwards of monthly expense trends, outlook movement and risks/ opportunities Support preparation and execution of annual budget planning, monthly forecasting and centralized reporting processes for all outside counsel spend Develop presentation materials for various audiences ranging from senior Legal business executives to LOB finance and P teams Track and report on financials, and key metrics. Review and analyze expenses and provide commentary for primary drivers and variances to senior management Contribute to key Legal projects, including strategic, control, technology and expense related initiatives Manage and complete ad hoc financial analysis and provide answers to management queriesQualifications Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field 1-3 years of financial analysis experience in the financial services industry Demonstrated experience interacting with core accounting and MIS reporting architecture; SAP and Hyperion Essbase are both strongly preferred Highly organized, detail oriented Advanced Microsoft Excel (with the ability to work with complex formulas and management of large amounts of data) and PowerPoint skills is required Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high level of personal initiative Excellent written and oral communication skills Thoughtful analytical skills; able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions Proven ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues, desire to learn quickly, and be flexible Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Works well both independently and as part of a teamJPMorgan Chase is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer Disability/Veteran.JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
