Overview

Johnson County Ambulance Service seeking to fill multiple part-time Paramedic positions to provide paramedic level patient care in accordance with the ambulance service protocols.

Minimum requirements: High school graduate or equivalent and successful completion of the prescribed course curricula at an approved paramedic program as determined by the Iowa State Bureau of EMS and successful completion of at least 300 hours of classroom instruction, 150 hours of clinical experience, and 150 hours of ambulance/rescue field experience.

Special requirements: Current EMT-Paramedic certification in the State of Iowa and current ACLS provider and BCLS provider certifications. As a mandatory reporter, maintain approved training on child and dependent adult abuse reporting requirements. Must have valid chauffeur’s license and be insurable under county liability coverage. Safe driving record.

Starting wage: $21.64 per hour.
