Job Title: Civil Engineer
Location: US-TN-Nashville

Who are they?
These Design/Build Experts are currently seeking a highly-motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join their team in the Nashville market. This opportunity will play a key role in their design/build process by performing site due diligence, designing & drafting land development concept plans, and guiding their clients through the first steps toward bringing their building to life.

A “Sneak Peek” of the Position

  • Research and collect site-specific information to initiate the land development process and perform site investigative due diligence
  • Design and draft multi-building land development concept plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D for commercial and industrial uses
  • Prepare schematic site plan, grading, and utility plans to illustrate site developability based on learned constraints
  • Perform stormwater detention analysis, site utility design, and earthwork analysis to best inform site planning effort for cost and constructability
  • Meet with internal and external customers to review concept plans, discuss advantages to multiple approaches, and work to define direction of project with Design/Build contracting team

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • BS in Civil Engineering or other Engineering or Design discipline.
  • 4-6 years of land planning experience.
  • AutoCad Civil 3D experience creating AutoCAD Civil 3D templates and styles is a plus.
  • Ability to perform stormwater detention analysis and site utility design calculations independently.
  • Ability to read and understand local zoning codes, stormwater management codes, FEMA floodmaps, FWS wetland maps, record civil and survey drawings
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required. ARCO/Murray will support the pursuit of licensure for EIT and offer a $5,000 bonus for successful competition of PE license
