Overview

Manages emerging state and/or federal legislative and/or regulatory issues to assess their potential impact on JEA interests and operations. Develops recommendations regarding impacts on JEA to minimize negative impacts and optimize benefits. Serves as an effective liaison with state and federal government bodies in development of public policy affecting JEA operations. Represents JEA in state and national groups to establish a base for formulating public policy impacting JEA. Identifies potential allies on specific issues and develops positive relationships with stakeholders. Works with appropriate process owners and subject matter experts within JEA to assess impacts of federal and/or state legislative and/or regulatory initiatives. Refer to PMP technical factors for additional position accountabilities.Develops, maintains effective and efficient workflow and ongoing operations including process modifications as needed; communicates changes to other process owners and/or those impacted. Identifies trends and sees that implementation of corrective action is complete, as necessary; informs others. Provides and maintains service level agreements to meet or exceed customer needs. Provides leadership in meeting JEAs safety goals. Drawing on knowledge of process formulates or assists in formulating policies which are applicable to bargaining unit employees Contributes to preparation and administration of budgets for individual contributor component of the process. May serve as JEAs representative at Civil Service Board hearings and may act as a consultant in support of process owner and /or representative of JEA management. May assist in preparation for conducting collective bargaining unit negotiations, including participation by providing background, pertinent information or perspective on JEAs interests. May also participate in negotiations. Coordinates the efforts of external interests with shared legislative priorities.Tracking
