Job Summary

Oversee game / event and parking operations for selected athletic events, or non-athletic events conducted in athletic department venues as assigned. Provide guidance and leadership for all game day operations and events. Manage individual athletic program day budget, and serve as a liaison to game day operational entities including, but not limited to, visiting teams, coaches, officials, table crews, event services, athletic grounds, information technology, athletic training, TV setup crew, athletic ticket office, disability management, ambulance, university special events, and parking and traffic. Provide on-site direction and consultation in the starting and/or cessation or postponement of outdoor events in the case of inclement weather or other unforeseeable emergency situations. Responsible for crowd control, which could result in the removal of a fan or spectator from the playing venue. Evaluate game day plan logistics, and recommend / develop plans for improvement of future game day operations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of game/event management experience in collegiate or professional athletics.

Combinations of education and related experience may be considered.

Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide diversity of individuals. Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism. Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills. Demonstrated commitment to quality. Posses the flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Working Conditions / Demands

May be required to work nights, weekends, and early morning.
