Present financial planning webinars and one on one virtual remote consultations. The goal is to establish The New York City Deferred Compensation plan, (client of ICMARC), as the sole necessary resource for financial planning guidance in advance of, and throughout retirement. Webinar presentations and telephone calling campaigns serve as platforms with which to deepen relationships with and retain plan participants as well as serve to grow plan participation.

When requested by a plan participant, Financial Planning Associate will create and deliver financial plans remotely, with a Financial Planning Manager.

Due to Covid-19 this position will be remote until further notice.

Essential functions for this role include:

Assist in department calling campaigns, individual financial planning sessions, webinar and handout updates, and conducting financial planning webinars within the assigned geographic area.
Responsible for staying current on all NYC Deferred Compensation Plan services as well as additional City-Wide employee benefits. Keep current with the financial planning industry at large.
Be able to present all NYC Deferred Compensation webinars which include, but are not limited to the following topics: Retirement Planning, Money and Credit, Estate Planning, Social Security & Medicare, Distribution Planning, NYCE IRA and Tax Planning.
Using highly effective presentation and personal communication skills, make concepts and reports understandable when delivering webinars and financial plans to participants.
Other duties and projects as assigned for the program.
Will be required to present both before and after normal business hours.

If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply :

BA/BS or equivalent experience
1-3 years of Financial Services experience
CFP designation required; FINRA 7 & 63
Industry expertise in 457, 401, 403b, IRA s and other qualified retirement plans
Effective presentation skills to large groups
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships
Thorough knowledge of NYC Deferred Compensation Plan products and services
Knowledge of other City-Wide Retirement Plans
Knowledge of ICMA-RC seminars, preferred
