Call Center Agent/ Customer Service (Healthcare) REMOTE

Healthcare Call Center Agent / Customer Service Representative CSR needed to provide superior customer service for prestigious hospital in Portland, OR. This is a day shift, contract position at an excellent hospital. The pay rate is up to $23/hour. Weekly pay, every Friday! Medical, RX, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability benefits available!

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8: 00a – 4: 30p

*Must live within 2 hour radius of Portland, OR as equipment will need to be picked up.

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to 1) collect and record accurate and complete required demographic, insurance, and financial information for patients receiving COVID related services, and 2) scheduling, rescheduling of COVID testing and vaccination appointments, 3) provide information about phasing of groups, access and event location and criteria . This includes financial screening services, checking insurance eligibility, and confirming health insurance coverage.

This position will work from home with occasional need to work on campus. To work from home, staff will need to have: high speed internet, ability to connect company provided phone directly to router, and a private space while working to ensure confidentiality.

Position Requirements:

Authorized to work in the U.S.
Six Months of recent experience in a medical office and/or medical billing setting, including high-volume direct patient contact, scheduling and/or registration, claims processing, and/or managed care authorizations; OR one year of work experience in a high volume direct public contact position.
Must be able to speak, understand, read and write in English.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Specialized Knowledge:

Knowledge in health care services and medical terminology
Excellent communication and customer service
Must be flexible, organized, and function well under pressure
Call Center technology and programs
