Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is looking for a Compensation and Benefits Manager to plan and oversee our company’s compensation and benefits programs. You will be responsible for reviewing and modifying existing programs, ensuring these comply with current legislation, supporting the recruitment process, and managing day-to-day compensation and benefits-related activities.

Compensation and Benefits Manager Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating and modifying existing compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Developing and implementing new compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensuring all programs, policies, and procedures comply with current legislation.
  • Communicating with third-party services to negotiate benefit plans and resolve benefit-related issues.
  • Developing profit-sharing, incentive, employee wellness, and performance management programs.
  • Managing subordinate HR employees and daily operations related to compensation and benefits activities.
  • Preparing budgets, reports, and presentations.
  • Support the preparation of detailed job descriptions and classification systems and define job levels and families, in partnership with other managers.
  • Process and coordinate every administrative aspect associated with the management of team member benefits, wellness and compensation.
  • Administer the open enrollment process, regular enrollments including new hires and all the day-to-day aspects of benefits administration and compensation changes.
  • Manages Goodwill Industries of Central Florida incentive programs.
  • Partners with benefit and wellness vendors and facilitators to ease the understanding of organization’s total benefit system; to include but not limited to all the portfolio of company’s benefits (medical, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, 403b, etc.).
  • Administer the open enrollment process, regular enrollments including new hires and all the day-to-day aspects of benefits administration and compensation changes.
  • Responsible for team member benefits and compensation related data integrity in HR management system including distribution of relevant metrics.
  • Lead in the preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform team members of benefits, overall wellness, compensation, and personnel policies.
  • Prepare and maintain integrity of programs, including personnel files, transactions and associated payroll processes in accordance with applicable statutes and appropriate requirements.
  • Perform proper reconciliation and on-time benefit processing in accordance with HRMS/Payroll Interface systems requirements and external compliances.
  • Fulfill all reporting and notifications requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations in accordance with COBRA, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and other applicable entities.
  • Prepares material to promote benefits and compensation as a tool of employment branding.
  • Identify and implement benefits to increase the quality of life for employees by working with brokers and researching benefits issues.

Compensation and Benefits Manager Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience as a Compensation and Benefits Manager or in a related role.
  • Relevant certifications, such as a CEBS or SHRM certification, preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of benefits and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience managing benefits and compensation in a Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong people and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
