Responsibilities: Plans, coordinates, directs, and supervises the activities of a group of Law Enforcement Officers and Sergeants on one or more assigned shifts. Assumes responsibility for Division operations in the absence of higher authority and alerts Division management of major occurrences. Answers all calls for law enforcement services and ensures that any incidents are dealt with in a timely and effective manner. Ensures that all law enforcement activity is properly documented and routed. Assists in the daily administration of the Division, including attendance, vacation, overtime, time sheets, payroll, Division staff complaints, and other internal matters. Performs full law enforcement duties pursuant to Section 11 (q) of the Federal Reserve Act (12 U.S.C. 248) (q). Through rotating post assignments, foot, and mobile patrols as a driver or passenger, is responsible for the protection of personnel, facilities, assets, and property within the area under the control and jurisdiction of the Bank. Proactively participates as a member of various committees, assists in development and implementation of Division goals and objectives, planning and coordinating Division emergency preparedness operations, and developing and communicating Division operating procedures. Remains compliant with all FRS and Bank training requirements and obtains or maintains Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer certification. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Associates degree in Criminal Justice or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related field preferred. Six years of relevant military, law enforcement or armed security experience. Three years of additional or concurrent full-time experience as a law enforcement sergeant, preferred. Valid driver’s license Work contains an element of personal, physical and psychological risk, and an officer must be able to exercise sound judgment independently in emergency situations. Work requires tactful, conscientious and efficient performance of duties and functions.
