Only candidates willing and able to work onsite at our Austin, TX office should consider this opportunity.Position Description: The Product Content Writer is an internal product marketing and communications role, focused on writing, creating and developing content on an integrated suite of loan origination and servicing technology products. The position is responsible for developing critical communication products to be shared with internal stakeholders and customers.The Product Content Writer will learn and understand the product suite in order to develop, write, and edit informational and technical materials on related products as needed for the company. The communications will focus on the areas of internal marketing collateral, product messaging including value proposition, features and benefits, product brochures, white papers, customer bulletins, articles website content, product functionality or technical release notes and user guides, procedural documents and/or FAQs.The Product Content Writer will draft marketing communications, including promotional publications, presentations, advertisements, or brochures. The position will review and edit messages to ensure that they are clear, thorough, on-brand, and seek to preserve the company’s image, as well as suggest ways of tailoring messages and delivery channels based on the targeted audience. The position will also collect data on the performance of specific communications or campaigns. Day to Day Duties and Responsibilities:Execute the document(s) creation lifecycle, including kickoff meetings to define assignment scope (content, quality, and timelines), document template creation, content creation, internal review processes, peer review and final publication.Partner with internal SMEs and coordinate cross-functional collaborations/meetings to ensure completeness/accuracy in documentation.Collaborate with corporate communications, product and project teams to create content and execute strategic messaging.Must effectively communicate and build productive working relationships with other team members and SMEs.Responsible for writing high-quality content that is properly formatted and follows style guide and brand standards for consistency of tone.Ensure clarity, consistency, and appropriate grammar is used in content.Actively participate in team meetings and activities to gain domain knowledge of all FarmView products.Document and maintain user aids in partnership with product teams, that go beyond traditional documentation, such as video scripts, demos, and other educational techniques.Learn complex product concepts and communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users.Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability.What You Bring to the Team:Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations or related field, and six (6) or more years’ in communications writing and project management. Experience in banking or financial services preferred. Interest or background in agriculture a plus. Advanced degree preferred. Must have a proven record of successful document authorship and deep experience on developing and producing product marketing material. Experience in product marketing within the financial services industry and understands consumer and commercial lending processes, technology and terminology. Experience with vendors such as: Finastra, CSi, Ellie Mae Encompass, Microsoft, Fidelity Information Systems (FIS), Floify preferred.Able to perform work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as a lead or first-level supervisor. Ability to work as part of a team. Good oral, written, assertive and persuasive communication skills. Ability to influence others. Interpersonal skills. Creativity.
