Experian is looking for a team-oriented attorney with 3 to 7 years of relevant experience for an in-house counsel position. The position will provide legal support for Experian’s Healthcare business unit headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee. What you’ll be doing The successful candidate will work out of Experian’s Franklin facility (though some remote work is acceptable and all work will likely be remote during the pandemic) and will report to Experian’s lead attorney for the healthcare business. S/he will provide support for all legal matters of the day-to-day operations of that business, including negotiation and drafting strategic alliance agreements and standard commercial agreements, conducting regulatory reviews and risk assessment for various products, and other initiatives. Specific experience in a transactional and/or regulatory practice is preferred, with healthcare industry experience a major plus, but more importantly the successful candidate will demonstrate through prior experience an ability to learn and adapt to the requirements of the role. What your background looks like The ideal candidate would have: A minimum of 3-7 years of directly relevant legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house setting Excellent academic credentials from a top law school The highest standards for thoroughness and diligence in handling legal matters Experience in handling matters involving issues relating to healthcare, data security, and privacy Ability to work with little supervision, check ego at the door, and be an active member of a congenial legal team and work well with non-legal professionals Ability to understand complex business issues, develop practical, problem-solving strategies and effectively communicate in a positive and effective manner Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment License to practice law in Tennessee Perks During this pandemic, all Experian employees are working remotely.
