Description

This position is responsible for all aspects of the loan origination, underwriting, funding, servicing, and collection processes. Additionally, responsible for managing compliance and records functions. The CLOO is responsible for helping to drive extensive and sustainable growth within the areas of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, Implementation and direct actions to achieve key goals that will contribute to cost efficiency, quality service, and the goals of the credit union. Additionally, this role would build on strengths of participative management and employee involvement to enhance employee morale, resulting in improvements to productivity and efficiency. Ensure all members and employees are always providing exceptional member service. This position is a member of the Leadership Team.

This position will serve as a ‘Crisis Management Team ‘ participant. As a participant you must be available as a first responder to assure that critical credit union job functions will be performed during a state of emergency. It is critical to be available prior to, during, and after an emergency or potential emergency including weather related situations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

% of Time Function 25%

Responsible for the oversight and planning of all loan products, services, and collections. Work with CEO and Leadership team in planning company growth as it relates to areas of expertise and responsibility.

Review of trends and portfolios to determine best steps. Keeping abreast of industry changes and challenges and making recommendations.

Financials ‘” Responsible for budgeting and oversight of department finances, rate recommendations and reviews, Member of ALCO. Responsible for the creation and review of loan and collection goals.

Vendor relationship management. Administrator for Loan Operating Software and other applicable products/services.

10%

Member of BSA committee. Review of policies and procedures to ensure compliance

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Bachelor ‘s degree from four-year college, or university with an emphasis in business administration and at least five-7seven years of related VP management experience from a financial institution.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze and intrepret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from members, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or Boards of Directors.

Math Ability:

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks a frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, estbalish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with serveral abstract and concrete vairable.

Computer Skills:

Ability to adapt to quickly learn and adapt to changing technologies is necessary. Strong, proficiency in the use of a personal computer and publishing applications and Microsoft Office applications is required (i.e. Microsoft Word & Excel). Have strong, working knowledge of the credit union ‘s electronic data processing systems.

Certificates and Licenses:

Certified Financial Counselor required within 12-months of assuming role.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises at least 3 employees. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all units reporting to this position (Collections/Risk Services, Lending Compliance & Records). Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
