Dunham’s Sports – a Midwest Specialty Sporting Goods Retailer has an immediate opening for a full time Payroll/HR Associate. This position is hourly and works out of our corporate office located in Troy, MI.
This position will primarily be responsible for processing and auditing bi-weekly payroll, as well as processing new hires, garnishment verification and verifying direct deposits. The department processes payroll for over 4000 employees.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. Other special payroll and HR projects may be assigned as necessary.

Job Requirements:

? Prefer 1-2 years’ experience in Payroll/HR preferably in a company with over 1000 employees
? Proficient with computers, including Word and Excel
? Experience in payroll systems/HRIS, AS400, Payserv, a Kronos based system experience a plus.
? Initiative and organizational skills are important
? Stron g problem solving and analytical skills
? The ability to maintain confidentiality is critical
? Accuracy and attention to detail required
? Excellent communication skills
