Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a n Agile Development lead to join our team in the Northern Virginia area to support the United States Army and to begin an exciting career within DSA. The Agile Development Lead will serve as the Scrum Master for the Army Knowledge Online (AKO) Portal, an Army enterprise collaboration tool. As a team lead, the Agile Development lead will oversee a variety of complex technical tasks, work closely with other technical leads and Army staff and serve as a trusted advisor, providing subject matter expertise, guidance, and best practice recommendations.

Please note, this is contingent upon award and a Letter of Commitment is required for this key personnel position. Must be available to travel as requested to customer locations.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Serves as the Scrum Master for development activities related to the AKO portal or other systems

  • Responsible for the end-to-end integration of various work streams in order to deliver the intended project solution

  • Oversee and manage scope, timeline, quality, goals and deliverables that support business goals

  • Monitor schedule and performance, including Identifying key KPIs

  • Prepare and present reports on the progress and success

  • Remove impediments to the ability of the team to deliver and is keenly focused on the activities and progress of the Agile project team

  • Provide Risk Management and Stakeholder Management

  • Provide Quality Assurance ensuring that all applicable change requirements are satisfied

  • Assists other project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk management/ electronic analysis; software; lifecycle management; software development methodologies; and modeling and simulation.

  • Serves as a major contributor to technical planning process and for providing technical management and guidance.

  • Guides, coaches and motivates the team with the goal of increasing productivity

Position Requirements

  • BA/BS or MA/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting Federal Government customers

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading Agile development efforts for the Federal Government as Agile Coach or Scrum Master

  • Hold an active scrum master certification equivalent to Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Certified Product Owner (CSPO)

  • Strong background in managing Agile-based, enterprise software development initiatives.

  • Experience using tools similar to Confluence, Zephyr and JIRA to manage software enhancement activities.

  • History of delivering software solutions on time and within budget

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Team player with good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Must have strong presentation skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
