Our Senior Corporate Paralegal must be organized, accurate, and detail-oriented while communicating effectively with others in a friendly, collaborative environment. You will have a direct impact on our legal functions productivity and the company’s bottom line, so you must be comfortable meeting tight deadlines, working with sensitive information, juggling multiple matters, and driving legal operational process improvements. You will work closely with Custom Inks legal team, collaborate with all other teams within the business, and interact with external partners and governing bodies.What youll do:As a Senior Corporate Paralegal, you will play a key role on our legal team to optimize the legal function thereby reducing risk and improving our bottom line. To be effective, you will be highly organized and detail-oriented, and take full ownership of your opportunity for impact. You must thrive in a transactional work setting, be comfortable maintaining routine matters while simultaneously attending to fire drills and enjoy checking items off your to-do list each day. Our legal team works closely and collaboratively with various internal and external partners, therefore strong written and oral communication skills and an ability to cultivate positive relationships are essential.Your responsibilities will be broad and varied and will include:Contract management and administration: from intake to filing and calendaring, accurately and efficiently administering and maintaining the companys contracts across an array of subject matters (e.g., real estate, commercial contracts, licensing); manage insurance requirements for contractsCollaborating with the companys attorneys and various internal teams on contracts/the contract review processProviding timely assistance with legal compliance enterprise-wide, including privacy law complianceSupporting the legal function initiatives aimed at streamlining legal processes and policies, leading certain efforts to make processes more efficient while ensuring that processes are used consistentlyAssisting with managing legal workflows and project deadlines for the legal function, communicating with internal teams regarding the status of the sameAssisting with managing the companys intellectual property portfolioManaging certain regulatory filings, permits, and licenses, including state corporate registrations, business licenses and permits and registrations with other regulatory agenciesOther projects as assignedHow youll be measured:The degree to which you optimize the efficiency of the legal function and thereby the efficiency of all functions supported by itAccuracy, efficiency, and ownership in your actions, tasks, and projects supporting the legal needs of Custom InkProfessionalism, friendliness, and flexibility in your interactions with others and in your work; team playerHigh level of integrity and sound judgmentWhat were looking for:7+ years of relevant experience as a paralegal or equivalent at a top law firm or in-house legal department, a combination thereof a plus5+ years of supporting commercial contracts required; proficient with basic contract terms (in connection with contract administration) and managing ancillary matters related to contracts (e.g., insurance)Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems and Google Workspace requiredExperience with general corporate matters including minute book maintenance and corporate entity maintenanceProactive team player who is exceptionally organized with great attention to detailSuperior time and deadline management skills with a flexible scheduleStrong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)Motivated self-starter; able to work with minimal supervision and get the job doneCan-do, roll-up the sleeves attitude – no job is too big or too small to take onImpeccable judgment, discretion, and integrityAbility to work in an ever-changing environment, assisting with special projects on an ad hoc basisHaving the following is a plus: completion of ABA-approved paralegal program, experience with a contract management system, experience with real estate administrative matters, having assisted with privacy law compliance, experience with IP cease and desist mattersOur Perks:We strive to live by the Golden Rule and create an environment that supports Team Members both professionally and personally.
