The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, the region’s largest grantmaker and permanent charitable endowment, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Administrative Associate. The Community Foundations mission is to inspire, support, inform, listen to and collaborate with the people and organizations in Greater New Haven to build an ever more connected, inclusive, equitable and philanthropic community.In 2021, The Foundation launchedStepping Forward, a three-year supplemental funding commitment of $26 million to address the widespread immediate community needs caused by COVID-19 and to advance equity in Greater New Haven.Title:Administrative Associate Department:Development & Donor ServicesReports to:Director of Donor Services & Development OperationsFLSA Status:Non-ExemptPOSITION:The Administrative Associate provides administrative support to the Development & Donor Services team with responsibilities that include clerical and customer service support.This is a part time position of 20 hours per week.The schedule will be determined with the final candidate within the work hours of 8:30 5:00, Monday through Friday.Work outside of business hours may be required with advance notice.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Supporting and participating in the execution of the Development & Donor Services team goalsGenerating acknowledgement letters for gifts and transfers received by The Community Foundation in a timely manner and processing notification materials for gifts made in honor of and in memory of othersProviding exemplary customer service to multiple Foundation audiences and communicating through various methods, including phone, email, and written communicationsSupporting internal and external meetings and events, including scheduling, attending, providing logistics, managing reservations, and recording, as requiredPerforming data entry into The Foundations relational database, and using other state-of-the-art technologiesWorking on assigned special projectsSupporting the reception area accountabilities, as neededProviding administrative duties, as neededQUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrated organizational, administrative and data entry skills, and highly skilled in technology and office software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPointExperience with a customer relationship management system, such as Blackbaud Raisers Edge, a plusExperience organizing and operating efficient office processes and proceduresSuperior organizational skills and ability to multitaskStrong attention to detail with knowledge of business correspondence and office protocolsDemonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment, with positive customer service expectations anddiverse populationsSelf-direction and ability to function as part of a teamExcellent written, analytical and verbal communication skillsCommitment to The Foundations mission and core values of integrity, diversity, vitality, collaboration, long-term vision, service, accountability and excellenceAPPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:Please submit a resume/C.V. and cover letter to (Human underscore Resources) with the subject line Administrative Associate – Idealist.Please also indicate how you found this job posting.The deadline for submission of materials is January 29, 2021.
