Summary: The ILAC Program Coordinator-DR
(based in the Dominican Republic) is responsible for the on-site coordination
of Creighton University-sponsored programs, high school programs, non CU
university travel programs and selected surgical teams who travel to the
Dominican Republic for service. Responsibilities may include, but are not
limited to, communication with group leaders prior to their arrival to the
Dominican Republic to plan their experience, preparation of groups’ calendars
and budgets, coordination of all activities for each group, providing on-site
supervision and accompaniment for the various groups, supervising the ILAC
Faith & Service Volunteers, supporting the Director of ILAC Operations-DR
with the coordination of the Summer Program -as needed, and coordinating with
the ILAC Omaha-based team to assure smooth transitions between the US and the
Dominican Republic. Conversational Spanish language abilities essential.
2-4 years of experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to travel to the Dominican Republic
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Basic knowledge of budget development
Skill in actively looking for ways to help people
Strong organizational skills to coordinate travel and activities Conversational Spanish
