We are seeking a motivated Concierge/Receptionist to work within a team to maintain the Capital Senior Living standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Answering telephone calls, transferring those calls, or taking messages if needed for department and sometimes a resident.
Respond to resident emergency calls and notify nurse or manager on duty as requested.
Be able to read and understand the fire board. Call 911 when board sounds with location of alarm.
Assist residents, department heads, and co-workers with requests and questions.
Ensure that residents and guests are signing in and out of the building.
Assist with various departments as requested by their Directors, by helping mail out the calendars, signing up residents for outings, deliver menus to residents, update daily schedule of events, menu and birthday’s on our local community TV channel.
Help prepare weekly and daily menus received from the Food Service Director.
Communicate guest meals and resident meals to the kitchen in a prompt manner.
Initiate maintenance and housekeeping work orders for residents.
Assist in Marketing duties including, but not limited to, taking a lead over the phone, touring potential residents, collating Marketing materials.
Schedule transportation for both independent and assisted living residents with the bus or van for the Activity Department.
Prohibit solicitors from gaining access to resident apartments.
Deliver mail and packages residents receive if necessary.
Operate computer, fax and all other applicable office equipment.
Ability to prioritize work duties to meet the needs of the residents.
Ability to work independently, follow instructions and maintain a high level of work in a fast-paced environment.
Will have constant contact with residents and their family members. Must be cooperative and courteous with all contacts while performing simultaneous tasks.
Will be handling highly confidential information. Need to follow HIPPA guidelines.
Need to be able to read, understand and follow community emergency procedures and all other safety rules and regulations.
Attend all monthly mandatory staff meetings.Tracking
